Delivery & Returns

Delivery Options

Standard Delivery

As standard, all items are shipped by courier or with our own drivers, and are handled by a single person. Once your order has been placed with Contract Furniture Express, a member of our distribution team will make contact to arrange a convenient day to deliver your item(s). Deliveries must be signed for by persons over 18 of age at the designated delivery address. Delivery personnel are assigned a two hour slot between the hours of 9am-5pm Monday - Friday, and instructed to bring the item(s) as close to the delivery address entrance as possible. Please discuss any special requirements you may have with a member of our distribution team as soon after the order is placed as possible.

Where items require two persons to lift them, and there is someone at the delivery address capable of being one of those persons, the driver should be happy to help get the item to the room of your choice. Where no one is willing/able to help the driver with these lager items, a fitted delivery will be required.

Fitted Delivery

If fitted delivery is required, call us on: +44 115 855 6666 to arrange. Large items requiring two persons to lift/move them are handled by one of our fitted delivery crews or shipped by special courier. A fitted delivery includes item placement in the room of your choice, and comes at an additional cost, discussed over the phone.

Grouped Deliveries 

If you place an order containing multiple items it is our standard practice to dispatch items individually as and when it/they are ready for dispatch. If you would prefer all items in your order to be delivered together please let us know and where possible we will try to accomodate this (please be aware this may mean you a longer wait for your complete order to be fulfilled). 

Accepting Delivery

We recommend that you check your item(s) prior to you signing and thereby accepting delivery.

Missed Deliveries

We understand that sometimes your plans change so should you be unable to accept delivery of your item(s) during your allocated slot our courier will make contact to arrange a convenient redelivery. Where possible we appreciate being notified of any required changes to your delivery in advance.

Click and Collect

Click and Collect allows you to collect your item(s) at your convenience from our distribution centre in Nottingham. When using the Click and Collect service you will receive a text or email notification when your item reaches the distribution centre and you have 7 days to collect. Please note that photo ID will be required for your item to be released.

Delivery Charges

Mainland UK

Orders of £50+ are delivered direct to your door FREE of charge. Orders below £50 are subject to a £10.00 flat delivery fee. 

Non-Mainland UK

Delivery to non mainland UK locations incurs a delivery charge which is determined by the area and size of the item as followed:   

Northern Ireland, Scottish Highlands and Offshore Scottish Islands:

Small items:    £10

Large items:    £45


Island of Man, Channel Islands:                                                                                       

Small items:    £15

Large items:    £90 


Unfortunately we do not currently offer overseas delivery. 


Returns and Refunds

The costs of returns are the duty of the consumer to an agreed collection point with Contract Furniture Express and will only be accepted in their original, re-saleable state. We reserve the right to retain up to 20% of the sale price to cover administrative fees incurred. This fee will be deducted from any refund. Giving requirements are met, it will take up to 30 days for a refund to be processed.

Damaged Items

We endeavour to ensure your order arrives safely but in the event that your item arrives in less that perfect condition rest assured that we will honour a replacement or refund. Simply let us know about your concerns within 30 days of delivery and our customer service team will be in touch to organise a suitable resolution.
